Our adventure begins at 8:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., as we meet you in the lobby of your hotel. Together, we will embark on a journey through time, starting at Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. Stroll through the ancient Inca-built streets, soaking in the atmosphere and history that permeates the city.
Next, we’ll make our way to Q’oricancha, the Temple of the Sun. Marvel at the architectural wonders and delve into the fascinating contrast between Incan culture and Catholicism. As the spiritual center of the Incas, Q’oricancha held immense significance and served as a gateway to the vast Inca Empire. Don’t miss the opportunity to admire the exquisite bronze high altar.
Leaving Q’oricancha behind, we’ll venture beyond the city limits, taking a short bus ride to the majestic Inca site of Sacsayhuaman. Stand in awe of the enigmatic 70-ton monoliths and listen to your guide as they unravel the mysteries of this ancient fortress. Afterward, you’ll have time to explore the site at your own pace, immersing yourself in its grandeur.
Continuing our journey, we’ll board the bus for a five-minute ride to the intriguing Q’enqo Inca site, where you’ll discover fascinating Incan altars that were used for sacred rituals. Then, a short drive will bring us to Puca Pucara, a circular Inca site that offers a glimpse into the strategic importance of these structures.
Our final stop is Tambomachay, a remarkable water temple adorned with impressive fountains. Learn about the Inca’s use of these sacred waters for bathing and relaxation, and marvel at the architectural brilliance on display.
As our tour comes to an end, we’ll return to Cusco, concluding our journey in the main square. If you’ve opted for a private tour, we’ll ensure you’re safely returned to your hotel.
